UPDATE: City and County Crews Battle House Fires

Fire crews were kept busy overnight Saturday in the city and county.

Clean up is underway after a fire on County Rd. 31 in Leamington.

Crews responded just before 3am Sunday morning for a report of flames and smoke.

The road was closed to traffic between Highway 3 and Talbot St. for several hours, but has since reopened.

The Ontario Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate.

Meantime, in the city, Windsor fire crews battled a house fire in the 700-block of Langlois Ave.

The call came in at about 1am Sunday and was quickly upgraded due to heavy flames spreading to the attic.

An investigator says the fire started on the exterior of the home.
