UPDATE: Flooded Basements in Windsor

The overnight downpour has left some Windsor residents cleaning up flooded basements.

According to Environment Canada, Windsor received close to 47mm of rain from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday.

A city official says it has received 50 reports of flooded basements, no one area was hit harder than another.

Just before 4am, Windsor police tweeted that streets were flooded throughout the city, but they have since cleared up.

Anyone looking for information on Windsor's basement subsidy program should contact the city through 3-11 or check out the city's website.
