Upgrades Attracting More Boaters To Lakeshore's Belle River Marina

Upgrades at Lakeshore's Belle River Marina appear to be paying off.

The town has now opened its boat ramp for the season and already, 94% of the boat slips are sold out.

Only 15 remain which includes five 35 ft. slips and ten 30 ft. slips.

The town has been investing in the marina with new fuel docks, line painting, security cameras and expanded WiFi.

Town Manager of Communications, Rita Chappell-Arsenault says the town has recently paid extra attention to that area. "We credit the sell out of the Belle River Marina to all of the amenities and investments the town of Lakeshore has been putting into that area."

Chappell-Arsenault says the nearby area is also looking better too. "We also have invested into Lakeview Park, there is a splash pad there, we have doubled the size of the West Beach, there is an extremely large beach with new pavilion and washroom amenities there as well."

There are 248 boat slips at the marina.

A new jetty walkway into the lake is also under construction and should be complete this summer.
