Vallée Granted Sabbatical

Chantal Vallée will be absent from bench of the the Lancer women's basketball team in September.

The head coach has been granted a study leave and leave of absence for the 2018-19 season. 

While on sabbatical, Vallée will spend three months working at McGill University writing a book on coaching and leadership success, and will then spend the final three months travelling to observe professional basketball teams all over the world in Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia.

"I appreciate the opportunity the University of Windsor and Department of Athletics have given me to be able to submerge myself in six months of learning and career growth," said Vallée.

In her absence, current Lancer assistant coach Emma Duinker will take over at the helm as the acting head coach for the Lancers. 

The coaching staff will remain the same with long time lead assistant Tom Foster and assistant coach Madeline Belding.
