VIDEO: Drugs Seized In High Risk Windsor Takedown

Charges have been laid in a takedown in Windsor at a busy intersection.

Police noticed a vehicle with licence plates that didn't belong to it around 9 a.m. Thursday.

Officers tried to stop the vehicle but the driver began to proceed erratically into oncoming traffic in the area of Howard Ave at Eugenie St and a male passenger fled the scene but was later arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Police say the driver refused to get out and was seen trying to conceal and destroy drugs.

Officers broke the window and the driver tried to flee, but the vehicle was placed in park and the suspect was tased.

Stolen licence plates were found in the vehicle along with suspected meth and heroin.

Scott Montgomery, a 25 year old man from Windsor, is charged with:

    Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
    Possession of stolen property
    Resist arrest
    Possession of a controlled substance x2
    Breach of Recognizance x2
