VIDEO: Jeansonne Ties Course Record

It's day two of the Windsor Championship at Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor.

Nathan Jeansonne is the lone leader after day 1 and tied a course record at 9-under, shooting at 62 in his first round.

He tells AM800 Sports he may of had success on day one but today is a new day.

"You have to forget about it, I mean you're starting from scratch again so you have to put up three good rounds to be in contention."

American golfer Anthony Maccaglia just qualified for the PGA Canada event on Monday and shot a 7 under in his first round, good for a four way tie for fourth place.

Maccaglia tells AM800 Sports, he's hopes to keep his momentum going.

"At the beginning of May, I Monday'd into an event and since then it's kind of been a struggle, but the last two to three weeks I've put together some good rounds so I feel like I am in a groove and it's just nice to keep it rolling."

Charles Wang is tied for second with Matt Gilchrest after shooting an 8 under on his first round.

Lasalle's Thomas DeMarco managed to finish the day even after shooting 71,  while McGregor's Luc Warnock finished at +9, shooting an 80 in the first round.

The four-day tournament continues through Sunday July 7th.
