VIDEO: Jurassic Park Set to Hit Windsor

Fans are gearing up to cheer on the Toronto Raptors in downtown Windsor Sunday night.

The Raptors are up 1-0 on the Golden State Warriors after winning the opening game 118-109 in their first ever NBA Championship run.

Remo Agostino is leading a group effort that includes the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association to create a Jurassic Park event at Charles Clarke Square.

Toronto held the largest Jurassic Park outside Scotiabank Arena in Toronto Thursday, but several cities across the country held events with an estimated 20,000 people watching the game outside in Mississauga.

Organizers are hoping to bring the same energy to Windsor-Essex.

Agostino tells AM800 News the event will have food, drinks, entertainment, merchandise and LED walls broadcasting the game.

Residents are being asked to register for the event so organizers have an idea of how many people plan on attending.

Admission is free with the festivities set to kick off at 7pm — tip off is 8pm.

Game two will be broadcast locally on CTV Windsor.
