VIDEO: Lakeshore Canadiens Crowned Stobb Division Champs
The Lakeshore Canadiens are Stobbs Division champions.
The Canadiens downed the Essex 73's 3-1 Tuesday night at the Atlas Tube Centre in Lakeshore to take the best-of-seven series in just five games.
Connor Rosaasen came through in a big way for Lakeshore netting two of the team's three goals earning him player of the game honours.
It was a night of redemption for Lakeshore which was swept by Essex in last year's division final.
Rosaasen says the win feels good.
"Couldn't have done it with a better group of guys. These guys fight all year long and we knew that this was our end year goal and last year we came up short getting swept by these guys. We give them credit, they're a hell of a team, but we battled hard and he came out on top."

He says team chemistry played a major part.
"I love these guys to death and I'd do anything for them. We worked hard and it's a team effort. We ran through all four lines and we ran these guys out of the building. So a hell of a win."
Rosaasen says the team's "never give up attitude" is what put them in the win column.
"I was confident in this group of guys all year. All year we battled and we battled hard. We never got down. That big game Sunday afternoon in Essex, we came together and we never stopped. We kept chipping away and we worked hard and this is what happens. Hard work pays off in the end."
The Canadiens now move on the Provincial Junior Hockey League's Schmalz Cup semi-final with their opponents yet to be determined.
