VIDEO: Local Catholic School Students Stuff A Bus With Toys and Food

Students at some Catholic schools in Windsor-Essex are on Santa's nice list.

As part of the 3rd annual Santa's Bus Toy and Food Drive, students at nine schools stuffed two buses full of toys and food.

The items were collected at different schools and taken to L.A Desmarais School in Forest Glade Thursday morning where the buses were loaded and then driven to four different organizations.

Grade 7 student Alina Youssouf says it is what Christmas is all about.

"Some kids may wake up Christmas morning and aren't blessed enough to get presents or to receive the simplest things that we might look over," she says.

"Some kids are less fortunate and for me I wake up Christmas morning and there are all these presents," says Dillon Thurlow who is in Grade 7. "I think to myself, what about those kids who are less fortunate and don't get to have this."

The items will be handed out at the Children's Aid Society, Drouillard Place, the Windsor Homes Coalition and the New Song Church.
