Volunteers Still Needed For Windsor Golf Championship
Organizers of the Windsor Championship at Ambassador Golf Course are asking for volunteers.
The event taking place July 2 - 8 involves a senior and junior Pro-Am with 156 Mackenzie Golf Tour professionals.
Ambassador Head Pro Ryan Robillard says they still have a number of volunteer positions to fill both on and off the golf course.
"Practice facility, parking lot, security, player services, we have a lot of wide range of duties," says Robbilard. "Some of them are stationary where you're not required to be out and about and we do have some that you get on the golf course and get some pretty good action at the ropes."
He says the cutoff to volunteer is June 21st or 22nd.
"We do have a volunteer orientation on June 28th, if we can have everything in place by the 22nd it'll let us get our ducks in a row and everything organized so we can have a successful orientation"
There is fee of $40 that Robillard says will help offset costs and will maximize the donation to Hospice.
Organizers are asking volunteers to do at least two, six hour shifts during the week.
