Wild Whip Wings 4-1

The Wild scored twice in the each of the final two periods as the skated past the Red Wings 4-1 in Saint Paul.

Eric Staal and Zach Parise scored in the second for Minnesota.

Jason Zucker scored two times in a 40-second span in the third to pad the lead.  The Wild ended a two-game slide.  

The game also featured an old-school scrap between Luke Witkowski and Wild rookie, Nick Seeler.

Justin Abdelkader scored the lone goal for Detroit in the first.  The Red Wings have lost three straight games.

The Wings have 60 points, nine out of a wild card spot in the East and they skate in Boston tomorrow.
