Windsor Artist Victim Of Smash And Grab
Art valued at $12,000 has been stolen from a downtown studio.
Over the weekend Windsor police were called to 510 Design Factory Printhouse on Pelissier Street.
Building owner and artist Daniel Bombardier says police told him the call came in shortly after 8 AM Sunday morning.
The artist goes by the name "Denial"
He says the window was smashed out and several pieces were taken, there were 11 of his original pieces and one from Murad Erzinclioglu, another artist from the studio.
Bobmardier says the art was not the only thing taken: "they did steal a lot of other stuff like a smartphone and a laptop and strangely enough my computer chair that I sit and draw in and then a whole bunch of different random things kind of just added up"
He says the studio has been robbed twice before and he says they're going to be installing a new security system and cameras.
Bombardier says he's spoke with police and is hoping to get the art back.
