Windsor Assembly Plant Is Hiring
A posting has been put up by FCA Canada for at least 100 jobs at the Windsor Assembly Plant.
The posting refers to Production Team Members.
Unifor Local 444 represents workers at the plant and President Dino Chiodo is happy to see the hiring taking place.
"They're going through an application process, and doing interviews over the course of this week, next week and over weeks after that to make sure they can put those jobs in place. We don't have a specific number as to what they're going to reach, but it's going to be over 100 jobs," says Chiodo.
He adds "I think it's all hourly, and you can go on the FCA website and see all the jobs they actually are looking to fill. That might be a good thing to do because I think they're looking for different categories electricians, and pipefitters, production people in various facilities and even managerial positions."
He says the additional staff is required for the production of the Plug-in Hybrid version of the Pacifica.
The jobs are posted on the FCA Careers website.
