Windsor Businesses Handed Fake U.S. $100 Bills

A 31-year-old Windsor man is facing charges after counterfeit U.S. $100 bills passed at several businesses in the city.

Windsor police investigated three separate incidents in late January to late February, with bills passed at two convenience stores and a restaurant.

Using surveillance video, officers from the Financial Crimes Branch were able to identify a male involved in each incident.

Kurt Durance was arrested on Tuesday at a Reginald St. residence.

He's charged with four counts of possessing counterfeit money, three counts of uttering the bills and one of breach of probation.
