Windsor-Essex Armed Robbery Suspect In Custody in Calgary

An armed robbery suspect, wanted in Windsor-Essex, has been arrested in Calgary.

The Windsor Police Major Crimes Branch began investigating five knifepoint pharmacy robberies between October and December where narcotics were stolen.

The OPP was brought in following four drug store robberies in Lakeshore along with others in Sarnia and across southwestern Ontario.  The RCMP also reported similar robberies in southern Alberta in March and April.

The investigation resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for 34-year-old Dustin Ross Robinson of Calgary.

He's currently in custody in Calgary and faces a total of 24 counts of robbery-related charges across Ontario. Robinson, a former Sarnia resident, will be brought back to Windsor to deal with the charges.
