Windsor Man Arrested Following Child Luring Investigation
Windsor police have arrested a 40-year-old man following an investigation into a child luring incident.
It began on July 30 when a citizen went to police headquarters after she viewed a video on the internet. The video allegedly shows a man, pretending to be a 13-year-old girl, communicating with a 40-year-old man through an online messaging application.
The communications became sexual and the suspect allegedly sent explicit images of himself and they arranged to meet.
The video ends with the man, posing as a 13-year-old girl, confronting the suspect in a public place.
The Windsor Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit reviewed the evidence and began investigating.
The incident captured on video circulated online and garnered a lot of public attention including a couple of protests.
