Windsor Man Charged in Child Porn Investigation

A Windsor man has been arrested following a four-month investigation into child pornography offenses.

Members of the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit along with Provincial Police in Tecumseh executed a search warrant at a home in Windsor on Tuesday and seized two electronic devices which police say contained child sexual abuse material.

34-year old Fraser Christopher Sulatychi is charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Making Available Child Pornography.

He will attend a bail hearing today in the Ontario Court of Justice.

Staff Sergeant Sharon Hanlon of the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit says "Our reality today is that every person around the world with a sexual interest in children has immediate access to any child that has access to the internet. It's like they are sitting next to our kids even though they could be across the globe.  We as parents and community members have to know who their children are interacting with online. These offenders are very manipulative. If parents are not engaged, they will never see them coming until it's too late".

Parents are reminded to be proactive in protecting their kids from online sexual exploitation by speaking with their children about internet safety. Parents can find tips online at www.cybertips.ca.
