Windsor Police Believe Fatal Downtown Shooting Had Ties To Peel Region

Windsor police have released more details about a fatal downtown shooting earlier this week.

On Monday at 2:40am, 20-year-old Jason Pantlitz-Solomon was shot and killed on Ouellette and University Avenues.

The Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate the death and now believe that the targeted incident has ties to the Peel Region.

The victim was a third year criminology student at the University of Windsor and lived before in the Peel Region.

A 19-year-old woman was also hurt in the shooting and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police say two men approached Solomon, pulled out a gun and fired multiple times.

No arrests have been made.
