Windsor Police Cleared After SIU Investigation
Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit has terminated an investigation into the arrest of a 19-year-old man in Windsor last month.
On July 3, Windsor Police officers responded to a domestic call at a home on Partington St around 11:50pm.
A man was arrested and taken into custody.
While at the police station, he complained of pain in his right jaw and was taken to hospital.
An SIU report says the medical evidence shows the man did not sustain a serious injury and the investigation has been terminated.
No charges will be laid against any officers.
The SIU is an arm’s length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
