Windsor Police Investigate Home Invasion
Windsor police is investigating a home invasion on Riverside Dr.
On Wednesday at 8:30pm, officers were called for a fight at a home in the 500-block of Riverside Dr. East near Glengarry Ave. where one person was armed with a firearm.
Police say a 52-year-old male victim was a home with a woman when there was a knock at the door. He opened it and an unknown man came in and assaulted him.
The suspect took some of the victims's items and brandished a BB handgun. Police say a short alternation occurred and the suspect dropped some items including the BB handgun. He fled out the front door with the woman.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5'8, skinny built, in his early 30's. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a hood up and jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Windsor Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
