Windsor Police Investigate Stabbing (VIDEO)

Windsor police are laying an assault with a weapon charge after a stabbing in the city's downtown — and more charges could be pending.

Police say a 36-year-old-man is in custody and 52-year-old man has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a stabbing incident Saturday. It happened on Ouellette Ave. and Elliot St. in front of the Enwin Utilities building around 2pm.

Police say the men are from Windsor and are "known to each other."

Investigators are still trying to uncover the motivation behind the attack.

The scene has been reopened to foot traffic.
