Windsor Police Need Help Identifying Body

Windsor Police are still looking for help from the public identifying a man whose body was found in the Detroit River.

The Major Crimes Branch believes it's the same person who was seen swimming in the Peche Island channel on Friday, July 19th around 6pm

The Marine Unit and other agencies searched extensively for the swimmer to no avail, and his body washed up the following Monday morning in the 9200 block of Riverside Drive.

The man is described as 35-50 years old, with olive/brown skin, 5'9", 170 pounds, medium build, with dark shoulder length hair, a full beard and was wearing a button down shirt with four leaf clovers on it and a necklace with a distinct pendant.

Investigators believe he may have ties to the Detroit area.
