A Windsor resident who lost his case against the city alleging allegations of wrongdoing during the 2014 municipal election is working on an appeal.
As AM800 News told you last month, Superior Court Justice Rene Pomerance ordered Matt Ford and Ian Shalapata to pay legal costs to the city, amounting to $121,000, for costs incurred during the court proceedings.
Ford and Shalapata took issue with the 2014 municipal election and Ford was concerned with the integrity of the voter's list.
In a news released issued by Ford, he is asking Premier Doug Ford and Attorney General Caroline Mulroney to launch an inquiry to investigate the conduct of the city, its lawyers, MPAC, the Windsor Police Service and local judiciary.
He is also asking that outside policing and judicial agencies provide state protection against further damages against himself, his family and friends.
Matt Ford is running in Windsor's Ward 1 in the upcoming municipal election.
