Windsor Trio Nabbed For Shoplifting In Chatham

Three people from Windsor are facing charges following a shoplifting incident in Chatham-Kent.

Police were called to the Real Canadian Superstore in Chatham after a complaint from the store's security.

Officers did a traffic stop on a fleeing vehicle and the initial suspect was spotted in the back seat.

He gave a false name, but police identified him as a 39-year-old Windsor man.

The female driver remained in the vehicle but a passenger jumped out an bolted.

He was collared by police a short distance away.

All three face charges of possession of property obtained by crime.
