Windsor Truck Driver Charged in Kentucky

A Windsor truck driver has been charged after a crash involving a fire truck in Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police in Bowling Green were called to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 near the 65 mile marker southbound on Tuesday.

Police say the crash involved a fire truck from Munfordville Fire Department and a transport truck driven by a Windsor man.

According to police, the investigation revealed the fire truck was heading to another collision and had its red emergency lights and sirens activated but was struck by the semi, causing the vehicle to overturn.

32-year-old Hardeep S. Gill has been charged with failure to give right of way to emergency vehicle and failure to give right of way to emergency stopped vehicle.

Gill was not hurt.

The driver of the fire truck 37-year-old Charles Jones of Munfordville was treated and released from hospital.

The passenger of the fire truck 42-year-old Jeremy Reynolds also from Munfordville was also treated and released from hospital.

Police say the investigation continues.
