Windsor Woman Injured In Car-Jacking Style Theft Of SUV

Windsor police are looking for a black coloured Dodge Journey after a car-jacking type of incident over the noon hour.

A man entered the vehicle in the 200-block of Strabane Ave. between Riverside Dr. and Erskine St. around 12:20pm.

He was attempting to drive away when a middle aged woman tried to intervene.

She was trying to retrieve some items from the vehicle when the man drove off, knocking her to the ground and causing minor injuries.

Police says the Journey has the licence plate number BWKW 662.

The suspect is descrtibed as a black male with light skin in his 20's.  He has short dreadlocks and is about 6-feet tall.

At the time he was wearing a white T-shirt and grey jogging pants.
