Wings Win 5-1 Over Winnipeg

The Red Wings snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 5-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets at Little Caesars Arena last night.  

Gustav Nyquist had three points, including two goals, while Justin Abdelkader, Darren Helm and David Booth also scored for Detroit.

Jimmy Howard made 25 saves in the win.  

Winnipeg, which entered tied for the NHL lead in points, managed only a second-period goal by Patrik Laine on a two-man advantage.

The Wings continue their five-game homestand as they host the St. Louis Blues Saturday.
