Work Ahead Of Schedule For New East-End Water Reservoir
Construction on the new George Avenue Water Reservoir is ahead of schedule.
The project is slated to be completed by the end of June 2018 but the contractor hopes to have it finished by March 2018.
A community and media tour was held at the job site on Thursday.
John Haasen is Senior Vice President for Acon, the company which represents Enwin Utilities during the project.
He says it's a 35 million litre reservoir.
"That would compliment the existing reservoir across the road and between the two of them will act as two separate cells for Enwin and WUC operations to provide water to city residents, LaSalle and Tecumseh," says Haasen.

The $30-million reservoir is located at the corner of Wyandotte Street East and George Avenue.
It's next to the AH (Bert) Weeks Water Treatment Plant.
The Windsor Utilities Commission project includes three parts, the reservoir, piping to connect it and rehabilitation of the existing reservoir.
