Halifax police lay human trafficking charges

Several people in Halifax are facing a slew of charges, including human trafficking.

Police say the arrests unfolded when they were called to an armed robbery on Lakecrest Drive on Wednesday.

Three men between 19 and 30 fled in a van and were later arrested, and a 16-year-old woman was also charged.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that two of these men directed and influenced a sixteen-year-old girl — the original victim of the robbery call — for the purpose of prostitution.
