No injuries after train-car collision in Truro Business Park

No injuries were reported after a slow-moving train hit a car in the Truro Business Park on Friday afternoon.

Truro Police Constable Dan Quinn tells our newsroom the car was coming up the driveway between Intertape Polymer and Crossley Carpet Mills Limited to Polymer Road.

The driveway, which connects the lower portion of Abbey Avenue to Polymer Road, has a railway track on it.

Cst. Quinn says the spotter on the train yelled for it to stop when he saw the vehicle and the driver of the car tried to reverse, but couldn't get out of the way in time.

Damage appeared to be contained to the front left side of the car.
