Young man arrested & charged following Fall River area break-ins

An 18-year-old man from Cow Bay has been arrested after a couple of break-ins near Fall River.

The RCMP say they responded to a call of a suspicious person on Brook St. in Fletcher's Lake shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The caller reported a man came to her door wanting to use the washroom, but she didn't let him in.

She phoned police when, a short time later, the same man came back and tried to get into her home.

After chatting with a witness who had seen someone matching the suspect's description in the driveway of another home earlier in the morning, RCMP went to the home and spotted the suspect inside.

Police say the suspect tried to flee but was intercepted by police and found to be in possession of property from two other nearby homes.

Eighteen-year-old Declan Robichaud is facing charges of break and enter, theft and possession of stolen property.
