Age-friendly community grant now open for applications
A new community grant that aims to support projects promoting healthy and active living for older adults is now open for applications.
The province says non-profit and community organizations, municipal governments, associations, and universities can apply for the Age-friendly Community grant.
Successful applicants can include partnerships or collaborative projects and can receive a grant up to $20,000.
Seniors Minister Leo Glavine says communities in the province will thrive if all members can participate fully and contribute their ideas, skills, and knowledge.
Applications will be accepted until February 1st, with projects approved in November and February.
Application forms are available at novascotia.ca/seniors.
