Antigonish RCMP investigate recent break and enters
Antigonish RCMP say they are investigating some recent break and enters into abandoned properties and are requesting help from the public to return the stolen property to its rightful owners.
Police say in the past two weeks, they have responded to two break-and-enters into abandoned properties.
They say sereval household items have been taken from these properties and have been appearing for sale online in local buy-and-sell groups.
The missing items include a wooden vintage pulley, a gun-safe locker, a hardwood kitchen table with three chairs, a free standing pink metal frame mirror with matching mirror and shelf, a vintage milk jug, a white army helmet with a red cross on the front, a birch table with wolf hide on the top, a horse riding helmet, and a live animal trap.
Many of these have sentimental value to the owners, and police say they would like to see them returned.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the police.
