Atlantic Salmon Federation hires its first Chief Operating Officer

The Atlantic Salmon Federation (ASF) has hired its first Chief Operating Officer.

The federation says Robert Otto was chosen from a large field of qualified applicants for his training, management experience, and knowledge of issues facing wild Atlantic Salmon conservation and management.

Otto is a native of Truro who has been a member of ASF since 2005 and served on the board of ASF's provincial affiliate, the Salmonid Preservation Association for the Waters of Newfoundland, known as SPAWN.

Otto will be based at ASF's international headquarters in Chamcook, New Brunswick.
