Bearcats make two trades, send Renouf to Timmons

The Truro Bearcats roster continues to take shape as the 2019-20 Maritime Hockey League season approaches.

The team has made a pair of trades this week, starting with the acquisition of Bryan Laureigh from the Collingwood Colts of the Ontario Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

The 19-year-old forward from Lacey, New Jersey posted five goals and five assists in 26 games with the Colts last season after spending a season and a half with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League.

The Bearcats dealt 20-year-old forward from South Porcupine, Ontario to the Timmons Rock of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League yesterday for future considerations.

In two seasons with the Bearcats, Renouf posted 24 goals and 23 assists in 97 games, with another two goals and two assists in ten playoff games.

The Bearcats pre-season schedule begins at the RECC on August 31st against South Shore.
