The federal government is accepting proposals for the New Horizons for Seniors Program.

Organizations can receive up to $25,000 for programs that promote positive aging and encourage seniors to participate and start local activities.

Cumberland-Colchester MP Bill Casey is touting the program, saying it allows seniors to use their skills, experience, and energy to benefit their communities.

The application deadline is June 23rd with more information available from Employment and Skills Development Canada, Service Canada, or Casey's office.
