Bus driver suspended after incident in Lower Sackville
A Nova Scotia school bus driver has been suspended after what parents say was a deeply disturbing incident for children this week.
Parents posted a flurry of comments online after they were told by the kids that the driver lost his temper on Monday, veered off his route in Lower Sackville and flagged down a police officer to come on board to lecture them about their boisterous behaviour.
CTV News has obtained an email sent to parents by Cavalier Drive principal Stephen Driscoll saying the driver's failure to follow protocol and return to school in a difficult situation led to an unnecessarily long and emotional ride for their children.
It adds Stock has suspended the driver pending an investigation but parent Rick Corrigan says the driver needs a new line of work.
