'By-elections offer choice': TIm Houston

PC Party of Nova Scotia

Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Houston says the three by-elections in Nova Scotia on September 3rd gives voters an opportunity to choose between a deepening Liberal healthcare crisis and a PC team ready to listen.

The party says the Liberal government has already announced that August will see 127 closures of various healthcare facilities.

The Conservatives say the closures are due to healthcare mismanagement on the part of the Liberals.

A release says the PC candidates running in Argyle-Barrington, Sydney-River-Mira-Louisbourg and Northside-Westmount know there's a healthcare crisis and will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Progressive Conservative MLAs Chris d'Entremont, Eddie Orrell, and Alfie MacLeod announced last month they would be transitioning to federal politics.

The MLAs left their posts on Wednesday to run in the federal election on October 21st.
