CCRCE says almost all inclusion positions from the province have been filled

The Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education (CCRCE) says 27 new school support positions have been filled for 2018-19, with two more to go.

The news comes on the heels of the provincial government saying Wednesday that virtually all 191 new hires outlined through a $15 million investment in the spring are in place.

In their monthly report, CCRCE says hiring for two parent navigators in Pictou and Colchester counties is expected to wrap up over the next few weeks.

The other hires include eight educational assistants, six child and youth practitioners, two autism support teachers, and four behaviour support teachers.
