Collision in downtown New Glasgow street knocks down traffic light
A traffic light was knocked down and Archimedes Street was closed for around 90 minutes on Monday following a two-vehicle collision in New Glasgow.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Archimedes and George streets.
New Glasgow Regional Police say the drivers of both cars, a 62-year-old woman and a 38-year-old woman, were not injured.
However, the vehicles sustained substantial damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Police say the cause of the collision is under investigation.
