Collision in Greenwood leads to assault, dangerous driving charges

A Wilmot man is facing charges of assault and dangerous driving after a three-vehicle collision in Greenwood on Thursday afternoon.

The RCMP say a vehicle had stopped suddenly on the Central Avenue and the vehicle behind swerved to avoid a collision, hitting with a third vehicle.

The drivers of the first two vehicles, who are known to each other, got into an altercation and the RCMP say people nearby separated them until police arrived.

Both men were assessed and released at the scene by EHS.

The 28-year-old man driving the stopped vehicle has been charged and is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on May 21st.
