Company chosen to modernize Registry of Joint Stock Companies IT system
The province has chosen a company to modernize the new IT system for the Registry of Joint Stock Companies.
The ten-year contract with Enterprise Registry Solutions Ltd. of Dublin, Ireland is worth $7.1 million.
Government says representatives from the business and legal communities have already been involved in this project, and will be invited to provide further feedback along the way.
The Office of Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness has estimated this project will save businesses about $7 million annually.
The province says the improvements will include smart forms and online help to identify anything missing and avoid back-and-forth delays, users can track the progress of their transactions, and they'll have the ability to submit most transactions online, eliminating the need to mail in or deliver in person.
