Cumberland County ER Closures: February 10-16

Another round of temporary daytime emergency room closures gets underway today in Cumberland County.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the emergency department at All Saints Springhill Collaborative Emergency Centre will be shut down as follows:

- Sunday, February 10 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Monday, February 11 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
- Wednesday, February 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, February 14 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
- Friday, February 15 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, February 16 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The government will close the emergency room at the North Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Pugwash will be closed follows:

- Sunday, February 10 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
- Tuesday, February 12 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, February 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, February 14 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday, February 15 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, February 16 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The province says the emergency department at the South Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Parrsboro will be shut down for the following dates and times:

- Sunday, February 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Monday, February 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the closures are necessary due to a lack of physician coverage.

All the three emergency departments will be open overnight and anyone with a medical emergency should call 911.
