Cyclist injured in Highway 311 collision passes away

The RCMP say a Bible Hill cyclist involved in a collision on Highway 311 has passed away from her injuries.

The 59-year-old woman was injured on July 20, when her bicycle collided with a car, just south of Upper Brookside Rd.

She was originally taken to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre with serious injuries, then taken to Halifax, via LifeFlight, for further treatment.

The driver of the car was not hurt.

The Mounties have not released the deceased woman's name and continue to investigate the collision.
