Downtown Truro Partnership loses majority of board
A meeting is expected to be called this month as the Downtown Truro Partnership (DTP) looks to once again fill out its board of directors.
Over the past month, seven of the thirteen board members have resigned, including the president, past-president, and secretary, leaving the DTP without a quorum.
The Truro Daily News reports a letter from Executive Director Debbie Elliott to its members said there were "irreconcilable differences at the board level to the point where the organization cannot advance".
The Town of Truro, which provides the majority of the DTP's funding through an area rate on local businesses, has sent a letter to the group asking for a special meeting to be held so the board can be reconstructed.
