Driver charged with stunting outside of Truro

A young Bedford man has been charged with stunting after being caught driving more than 60 km/h over the speed limit on Highway 104 outside of Truro.

RCMP Northwest Traffic Services clocked a vehicle doing 172 km/h in a 110 km/h zone Sunday morning.

The 19-year-old driver has been charged with stunting, had his licence suspended and his vehicle towed.

The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2422.50.
