Driver flees scene of New Glasgow accident: police

A two-vehicle accident in New Glasgow Thursay morning has police looking for one of the drivers, who fled the scene on foot.

The New reports the collision happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bernard and Almont Avenue, and both vehicles had to be towed.

The woman driving a Jeep was treated on scene by EHS for non-life-threatening injuries.

The New Glasgow Regional Police Service K9 unit was brought in to track the driver of a Mercedes, closing a section of the road for around two hours.

Anyone with information about the driver is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
