Drug-related charges laid after Amherst arrests

Three men have been charged after police searched homes on Edgewood Ave. and Prince Arthur St. in Amherst on Tuesday, seizing methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia.

RCMP say 47-year-old Douglas Anthony Montrose is charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, as well as trafficking methamphetamine.

52-year-old Jeffrey Paul Richards is charged with production of marijuana and possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Both men have been released on bail conditions and are due in court on February 5th.

The third man, 41-year-old Jason Leroy LeBlanc, is charged with break, enter, and theft, and has been remanded into custody pending his next court appearance.
