Eight month drug trafficking investigation leads to arrests in New Brunswick
The Cumberland County Street Crime Unit from Amherst arrested two people in New Brunswick following an eight-month drug trafficking investigation.
Officers obtained a warrant and searched a home on Route 950 in Petit-Cap on May 2nd and took 32-year-old Mario Clement Leblanc and 41-year-old Sally Cormier into custody, with help from New Brunswick RCMP.
Police say they seized a large amount of methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, cannabis resin, marijuana, cash, a prohibited knife, and other items police say are used to facilitate drug trafficking.
LeBlanc and Cormier each face six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of items used to facilitate drug trafficking, possession of a weapon while prohibited, and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
