Emergency Department closures in Cumberland County: July 7-13

Hospital emergency department

There is another round of temporary daytime closures scheduled for the emergency rooms in Pugwash, Parrsboro and Springhill this week.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says these closures are necessary due to a lack of doctors, and overnight coverage is provided by the paramedic/registered nurse/oversight physician team when available.

Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should call 911 immediately, and general health concerns can be directed to HealthLink 811, where advice and information are available around the clock by calling 811.
